Who We Are

Civic Leadership Lab is a space dedicated to developing informed, courageous, and community-centered leadership. We believe strong communities are built when everyday people have the knowledge, confidence, and support to participate in civic life, organize collectively, and lead meaningful change from within their own communities. One of our guiding principles comes from the adage, “Nothing About Us, Without Us.”

The Lab provides education, training, consulting, and community-based support focused on civic participation, grassroots leadership development, public systems, and social transformation. Our work centers the belief that leadership should not be reserved for institutions or titles alone — leadership exists within communities, lived experience, and collective action.

Through workshops, peer education, leadership development programs, consulting services, and organizational audits, Civic Leadership Lab supports individuals, community groups, nonprofits, and public agencies seeking to strengthen civic engagement, improve public trust, and build more equitable systems.
